Ambulance Dispatcher
Duties
and responsibilities: they are also called 9-1-1 operators
or public safety tele communicators, answer emergency and nonemergency calls. Ambulance
dispatchers take all the information they need to know so they could send the
right amount of units to where you are. These people work in an emergency
communication centre, often called Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)
Salary:
$33,000 - $36,300 per year
Education:
High school diploma; approved training program, certification.
Reflection: I
wouldn’t like to be one of these. I wouldn’t like to be one of these because it
looks stressful. Also because you have to take a lot of phone calls and you have
to contact the units necessary for the people that need help.
