Duties and responsibilities: Is the field relating to
leadership, management, and administration of public health systems, health
care systems, hospitals, and hospital networks. Health care administrators are
considered health care professionals. It is responsible for the facility
business management and whatever operation they are running such as a hospital
or nursing home. A health care administrator is responsible for controlling
finances, supply ordering, hiring, and supervising staff.
Salary: $115,553 - $245,774
Education: Bachelor’s degree in health administration, most
states requires state-approved training and on-the-job experience, then
license from an approved, accredited institute. Every state has different
requirements, however, so be sure to check with the state health board of the
state in which you want to practice before setting out to begin your new
career.
