Reflection: What this means is that, its more important to be yourself before anything else. Its how your personality is and how you show you care. John Wooden was a basketball coach and a teacher. He quit his coaching to be a teacher no mater what other people said about him. It made him happy so his future was more important at that time that he gave up his coaching. For example if something makes you happy you should go for it because its your future and you know you are making it better no matter what you are giving up. Your future depends on you and you have to give things up to do what you want to do no matter what other people think of you. You will achieve your goal and you will make people proud. Kids will look up to you and they will want to do what you did. John was happy with what he did and he was proud of himself so you should do the same. 

Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: A dental assistant assist the dental operator in providing more efficient dental treatment, by preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during procedure, holding suction device, exposing dental radiography, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns.

Salary: $28,691 - $45,051

Education: There are no formal education requirements for entering a career in dental assisting. Some assistants have a high school diploma and only receive on-the-job training; however, post secondary dental assisting programs offer more comprehensive career training. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were more than 285 dental assisting education programs approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation 

Reflection: I wouldn’t like to be one. I wouldn’t like to be a dental assistant because you really don’t do anything. You just have to take x-rays and help the doctor when he needs help. You really just do the same thing all over and over. It seems fun but it does not get my attention. As I love helping people but this doesn’t seem enthusiasm.

Reflection: What this means to me is that nothing shouldn't really matter to you only your feelings. Your feelings should only matter because everything comes from your heart you don't need anything else besides what you feel. For example if someone gives you a gift and you do not like it you should still appreciate it because they put their heart and feelings in that gift. Not everything will always make you happy but all that matters in your life is how you feel and how you take things the way they are. It may be something small but it means a lot to the person who is giving it to you and they want you to have it because you are special to them. Your wealth is the only thing that should matter because it comes from the heart. Sometimes that means a lot to you and it should matter as along as you are happy. Not everything will come out of a purse because people give you what you deserve not what you want, but they still give it to you with love right? Your heart, wealth, and family is the things that should matter to you everyday. What would you do without those three important nothing? nothing right because you need those things in you so you could be happy. 

Dentist

Duties and responsibilities: A dentist also known as who specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease and conditions of the oral cavity. The dentist’s supporting team aids in providing oral health services. The dental team includes dental assistants, dental hygienists, dental technicians, and in some states, dental therapists. By nature of their general training, a licensed dentist can carry out most dental treatments such as professional teeth cleaning, restorative, orthodontics, prosthodontics, etc.…

Educations: Bachelor's degree prior to admission to dental school; doctoral degree in dental medicine or dental surgery; some dental specializations require completion of a residency

Reflection: I would like to be one. I would like to be one because you learn new things every day. You train to become a better dentist and you could help people out with problems they are having with their teeth. You could give advice and tell the patients why they are supposed to take care of their teeth and how to take care of them. There is a lot of facts that are interesting about being a dentist. So why not try it?

"Obedience sums up our entire duty"

What this means to me is that, if you obey then your going to finish your entire work. If you listen and do what your told to do then your duty will be done. Its also being responsible for what you do and if you do it. Everything will add up and become hard if you don't listen and don't do what you are suppose to. Responsibility relates to obedience because you are responsible for your own actions weather they are good or bad. If you add up what your suppose to do probably it will be easier for you or hard that's why you always do what you are told to do so nothing could add up and you could be done with your work. For example if you are told to do a project that will pick up your grade you are suppose to do it and its your responsibility to finish it. You are suppose to obey what they tell you to do if you want a good grade. You have to earn everything and listen to the right people. If you choose to do bad choices you are not being obedient and your duty will never be done.

Reflection: What this means to me is that if you do something good you will be proud of yourself. If you do bad then there will be consequences that you will have to face. Lets say you do something bad its gonna be with you until you do something about it. You have to do something good so that you could feel good. Not all the time people do good things. For example if they try to steel something they are going to feel bad if its their first time because steeling doesn't make you feel good its something really bad that you will regret. When i make someone cry or make them feel bad i try my best to fix it because then when i think about it i feel bad and that is not a good feeling. When i make someone happy i feel good because I am getting their mood up when they are feeling down. I never make people feel bad unless they make me really mad. I always try my best to control myself because I am being mature and I feel good about myself when i could control things. Not everyone cares how they feel but most of the time they will care about them when it comes to something important.

Reflection: I wouldn’t like to be one. I wouldn’t like to be one because it seems boring and it’s just about the muscles. It takes to much education requirements to be one and I just want to do something simple. I want it to be something that interested me and makes me want to learn more. 

obedience

"Obedience is the great test of life."

Whether you listen or not obedience will always have an effect on your life. If you choose to do something wrong then  you didn't follow the rules and obviously there is a consequence to your bad choices. Obedience will always be one of your life lessons that you learn. You will learn new types of obedience everyday. Every single day you follow the rules so your being obedient. Your parents tell you what to do and you do it right? so that's being obedient.  

Cardiologist

Duties and responsibilities: A cardiologist is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the heart be it human or animal. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, etc...  All cardiologist study the disorders of the heart, but the study of adult and child heart disorders are through different training pathways. Therefore, an adult cardiologist often unqualified and called just “cardiologist” is inadequately trained to take care of children, and pediatric cardiologist are inadequately trained to take care of adults.

Salary: $243K - $512K

Education: Doctoral degree in medicine: completion of a residency program in internal medicine and cardiology, state license and cardiologist certification.

Reflection: No I wouldn’t want to be a cardiologist. I wouldn’t like to be a cardiologist because you practically just focus on the heart and what the solution is going to be. It seems fun but it doesn’t catch my attention as much. I like helping children and adults but this cardiologist career doesn’t seem to catch my enthusiasm.  

9/11 tragedy

911 Memorials 

Suspicion for the attack quickly fell on al-Qaeda. The United States responded to the attacks by launching the war and terror and invading Afghanistan to depose the Taliban, which had harbored al-Qaeda. Many countries strengthened their anti-terrorism legislation and expanded the powers of law enforcement and intelligence agencies to prevent terrorist attacks. Although al-Qaeda's leader, Osama bin Laden, initially denied any involvement, in 2004, he claimed responsibility for the attacks Al-Qaeda and bin Laden cited U.S. support of Israel, the presence of  U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia, and sanctions against Iraq as motives. Having evaded capture for almost a decade,he was located and killed my members of the United States military in May 2011.

Reflection: My thought are why would they want to do all these types of things? Especially why would they want to take lives away when they know everyone has family and children to support but they didn't think about that. Its sad how terrorist think and react to things. They should also get in our position and imagine themselves what would happen if that was them. 911 is a day to remember everywhere and give our blessings to all the families and people who died. We all take a moment of silence to remember the people who died. We all get sad over this because it happened so fast and a lot of lives were taking away that day, a lot of families were torn apart. Little kids were left without a dad or a mom. This day everyone focuses on 911 and give respect to the ones who died. My first memory of it was when i turned 5 my mom told me about it. When the 911 attack was happening I was only 8 months.

    What this means to me is that education is the answer to everything. If you want to be someone in life you have to study and study because that's how you are going to achieve your goals and be someone in life. You have to work really hard and keep up with everything in school no matter what grade you are in. There always has to be a solution to everything if you try to look for it. If you try your very best you'll get what you want and you will be proud of yourself and your parents will be proud of you too. To be successful you have to choose what us right and see who your real friends are.  

Audiologist

Duties and responsibilities: Is a branch of science that studies hearing, balance, and related disorders. It’s a practitioner, who treats those with hearing loss and proactively prevents related damage are audiologist. In addition to testing hearing, audiologists can also work with a wide range of clientele in rehabilitation (people with tinnitus, auditory processing disorders, users of cochlear implants and/or hearing aids), from pediatric populations to veterans and may perform assessment of tinnitus and the vestibule system.  Audiologists are trained to diagnose, manage and/or treat hearing, tinnitus, or balance problems. They dispense, manage, and rehabilitate hearing and assess candidacy for and map cochlear implants. They counsel families through a new diagnosis of hearing loss in infants, and help teach coping and compensation skills to late-deafened adults. 

Salary: $63,640 - $88,426

Education: master’s degree, audiologists must earn a doctoral degree (PhD or AuD) in order to be eligible for national certification, bachelor’s degree, and require courses in physics, math, anatomy and physiology.

Reflection: I wouldn’t like to be a audiologist. I wouldn’t like to be one because you probably get stressed out on what you are going to do so people/children could hear or whatever they need. You’re probably going to be up all day and night trying to figure out a solution to what your patient needs. If there is little kids then you’ll probably feel bad of you are sensitive and you’ll want to find a solution right away.

"Decisions Determine Destiny"

What this means to me is that whatever decisions you make later on or right now in life will determine how your destiny is going to be. If you choose to do good and choose good habits and decisions you will have a good destiny. If you choose to do the wrong and you choose not to choose good things that could affect your life right now or later on then your destiny will not be a good one. If you want a good destiny then you have to choose what is right for you and what is wrong. You have to live your best, do your best, and be your best. If you believe in yourself you'll achieve all your goals and in time you will see how your destiny turns out to be. Your family leads you to good decisions because they talk to you about it and they explain how important it is to have a good future and your future is also your destiny. Friends, family and other people might also have a big impact in your life that you want them to be proud of who you are and who you are becoming. Your daily decisions could affect you or not affect you in any way. You just have to try and make good decisions and choose what you think its the best for you. 

For example I want to have straight A's and make my mom proud. I will choose decisions that will lead me to get straight A's. For that you need to do all your classwork, homework, participate in class, and do your class projects. I know everyone could make it if they choose to make good decisions!

Duties and responsibilities: An athletic trainer is a certified health care professional who practices in the field of sports medicine. Athletic training has been recognizing by the American Medical Association as an allied health care professional since 1990. Athletic trainer is also a health professional who collaborates with the physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients.

Salary: $30,420 - $54,880

Education: Graduate from bachelors or master’s degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athlete Training Education

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I would like to become one because I love sports. Another thing is because you learn new ways to help people out when they are injured. You probably get to travel around if you work for a team that travels all around and I love traveling but in car not in airplane.
