Honor and Cheating

Summary 

Malik Stewart knew what he was doing when he shook the opponents dad hand and hugged him. Malik didn't care if he lost the championship he still stood up with honor he was okay with losing because he knew what the guy was going through. Malik knew how it felt to feel like you are going to lose your dad and you want to make him proud. He had a lot of respect for his opponent and the dad. On the other side Roman Chapa cheated all he wanted to do is win. Winning is not always going to make you successful especially if you cheat. What Roman did was cruel and not okay. He cheated so he could just win and he was hurting the horse. He was just thinking about himself and not others especially not about the horse. Roman was not honest because he cheated and he had negative consequences because he hurt a horse and that is considered animal cruelty. Malik could be a role model for kids who think that losing is a big deal because look how Roman ended up with his life just because he cheated!

What this statement is trying to state is that, they rather just lose than cheat. For example if you are doing a test and you do not know what its about and you have the chance to cheat but you don't cheat because you think its wrong then you are failing with honor. Its better to fail than to cheat because then you won't feel guilty or have any bad thoughts of what you did. Its always the best to be honest with things and people. All people look for now in days is honest and no cheating. You just have to be yourself and be honest with yourself and others. Its better to admit that you don't know anything than to cheat! What do you get out of cheating? NOTHING, nothing is what you get out of cheating. Another example is a sport you could cheat by buying the ref or by doing things to the opposing team. Cheating is never right because if you get caught there will be negative consequences. When people get caught cheating they will never be trusted ever again they will lose the trust and be won't trust them at all. Its okay to fail with honor then cheat. Never cheat in your life that is choosing the wrong, always choose the right.  

Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend 

I didn't do much for memorial day weekend. All I did was go out with my sister and my friends. I went to a party on Saturday and on Sunday my sister and I went to the beach. There was a lot of people that I met and got to see again. On Monday all I did was watch movies with my baby. The movies I watched were Pursuit of Happiness and Girl vs Evil. The book I am reading is "Me before You." Its a really good book that makes you realize a lot of things that could happen between two people. All I did was think about so many things and come up with ideas of what I could do over the summer. I went to visit my dad, my grandpa, and my aunt who rest in peace now. They all died together on Memorial day. It was a really fun weekend and Weekday to be shared with my family and my other loved ones.

What this statement is trying to state is that, if you do good it doesn't mean you'll get money or a new car. Doing the right things gives yourself all the things that are above this. Self-respect and everything is way better than just you wanting something in return. Sometimes people will give you a reward in return but its not always going to be the same. For example, like the guy that found an iPad and $13,000 he could of kept it but he didn't he decided to turn it in. He got  a reward back and he didn't even think about himself he thought of other people that needed help and were in need of money. All he knew was that his reward was going to be self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem. That was his big award for him and for other people they saw this guy like that because he didn't think of himself at all. Another example is you standing up for yourself or someone else. What this will give you is respect etc... This is why you always have to choose the right and never think that you'll get money in return.  

Athletic Trainers

Duties and Responsibilities: Athletic trainers specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating muscle and bone injuries and illnesses. They know what your body could take and what it can't take.

Demand for this profession: Compassion, decision making skills, detail oriented, interpersonal skills. 

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? 

I think that I wouldn't like to be one. I wouldn't like to be one because you have to see what is wrong. It seems really stressful and it looks like a handful because you have to be there at all times. This job seems interesting but I wouldn't like to do it at all. It interest me but it's not what I want to do when I am older.

What all this is are tips from Phillip Riggs on how to be successful pretty much. You need to work hard in order to get things over with and to get something great out of it. And something great would be like a good grade. Follow your passions and don’t be miserable doing what you don’t want to do regardless of how much you get paid you should do something you know you’ll enjoy doing. Don’t chase after money, that says it all. Serve others because what goes around comes around. If you see someone struggling on something you should do the best that you can to help them because if you’re ever in a situation where you might be struggling someone may go help you. Think of good karma coming your way if you do good things for others because good things will come right back to you. Following those steps is helping you do the right things and you will be successful. Never give up and keep trying everyday, because everyday everything gets harder and harder.
